This benchmark tests limited 3D rendered over a 2D background that is the town, city or dungeon.
In this benchmark, FRAPS is reporting half the framerate that the emulator is reporting. Here again, we see the GeForce FX 5950 Ultra leading with the 5700 Ultra trailing.
Also, the 9800 Pro 128 leads the 9800 XT by .1 frames here, which shows that there is a little bit of play in the benchmark while it is also not a framebuffer size issue.
For all intents and purposes, the P4 EE and the Athlon 64 3400+ perform the same. This time, though, we see Prescott and Northwood swap places. The 3000+ also creeps up from the bottom here. Again, these framerates are all way beyond playable with the emulator pushing about 300 vblanks per second.

ePSXe is pretty much the standard if you are trying to play original Playstation games. Any modern system can run them pretty much full speed but I think this is just yet another piece of a neverending puzzle in comparing different graphics cards. Some people will find data like this important.I found ePSXe a while back and replayed Chrono Cross, one of the best RPGs out there imho. ePSXe runs pretty well on my laptop with the Intel 855 onboard graphics and it would be nice to know how the emulator runs on integrated graphics chipsets/laptops (mini-itx boards, onboard Via, Intel, Sis, Ati, nVidia chipsets) in addition to normal cards like the ones tested here.
